My Philosophy

Dear clients,

I have no doubt whatsoever that each and every one of you values their time and financial resources highly, and thus I offer all my services -- ie tuition as well as translations and corrections -- at a high standard. When you make the decision to pay for something, you naturally expect to get your money's worth which is what I have in mind when fulfilling my end of the bargain. Rest assured that your resources will not go to waste with me.

As far as translations and corrections are concerned, I deliver a quality which stands second to none. The high quality of my work is based on the profound linguistic education I gained during my university studies as well as on the knowledge I have gained since. Moreover, the application of CAT and machine translation tools makes me a 'translation-savvy' partner who will get the job done without any problems.

As for my English and German tuition, I use one of the most productive methods known to teachers all over the globe -- a blend of the direct method and blended learning. In practice, this means that I encourage my students to talk as much as possible during our classes, both to myself and each other. As a result, students make the most of their class time, and thus develop a wide variety of speaking skills directly in class. Naturally, this reduces the students' need for home study.

Unlike some schools, I do not hand out written letters guaranteeing my students certain progress in a matter of months or weeks even. I do, however, give you the chance to try an 'Intro Class' which is sure to convince you of my ability to teach you any aspect of the language you have chosen in a reasonable time. Following the 'Intro Class' you may freely decide whether you would like to continue your studies with me as your teacher.
